Holly and Ebony have been ride-or-die for more than twenty years.

They've survived terrible families, financial disasters, questionable decisions, two businesses, and enough chaos to make normal friendship look painfully boring.

Now Holly is getting married.

Which means Ebony has a new mission: give her best friend a wedding nobody could possibly forget.

Holly has spent six months insisting she doesn’t need a spectacle. Joseph would probably get married in cargo shorts if nobody stopped him. And both of them are perfectly willing to elope if Ebony can’t come up with something they actually want. Ebony knows better than to trust either of them with their own wedding.

A Renaissance faire. An unlimited budget, a goth bride, a groom whose friends answer to faire names and gamertags. Custom armor, trained animals, medieval musicians, an increasingly architectural wedding cake, and approximately nine thousand opportunities for something to go gloriously wrong.

While Ebony throws herself into making Holly's impossible wedding real, Holly is discovering that getting married isn't about becoming somebody's other half. It's about figuring out how to build a future without giving up the life, independence, and people that made her who she is.

And Ebony?

She's always been the person standing beside Holly when everything changes.

This time, Holly might need to return the favor as weddings aren't just about the person waiting at the end of the aisle.
